H.E. Services and Diggerland join UK Plant Expo 2027

H.E. Services and Diggerland will join UK Plant Expo 2027, bringing machinery from one of the country’s largest plant hire fleets to the event, along with a dedicated Diggerland attraction on Saturday to give young visitors their first hands-on experience of plant machinery.
The event takes place on Friday 11 and Saturday 12 June 2027 at the Heart of England Events Centre, Fillongley, Warwickshire.
H.E. Services operates a fleet of more than 3,500 items of plant from 11 depots across the UK, with excavators at the heart of the business. Komatsu forms a significant part of the excavator fleet, alongside equipment from manufacturers including JCB, SANY, Thwaites, Bomag, Hydrema and Manitou, while the wider fleet also covers dumpers, telehandlers, rollers and specialist long-reach machines.
A selection of machines from the H.E. Services fleet will be on display at UK Plant Expo, with the final line-up to be announced nearer the event.
Founded by Hugh Edeleanu in 1972, H.E. Services has grown into one of the best-known names in UK plant hire, with a particular strength in excavators and specialist equipment.
Hugh Edeleanu, Chairman of H.E. Group and founder of Diggerland, said: “UK Plant Expo is a good fit for us. H.E. Services has been part of the plant industry for more than 50 years, and we’re looking forward to bringing some of the fleet along and supporting the event.
“Diggerland gives us the opportunity to do something different on the Saturday too and introduce more families and younger visitors to the machines we all work with every day. For a lot of children, that’s their first time getting hands-on with a real digger, and for some of them that’s where the interest starts. The industry needs new operators coming through, and events like this are a great way of getting young people excited about a career in plant.”
Friday will be dedicated to trade visitors, with live machinery, demonstrations, networking and the heats of UK Plant Operator of the Year 2027.
On Saturday, trade visitors will be joined by families for the UK Plant Operator of the Year grand finale, live machine challenges and a programme of family activities.
Diggerland will have its own dedicated area, with rides and machine-based activities operated by the Diggerland team, giving visitors of all ages the chance to get hands-on with real machine controls. With the plant industry keen to bring in new operators, that early hands-on exposure is seen as a valuable way to spark interest in plant operation as a future career.
UK Plant Expo 2027 takes place at the Heart of England Events Centre, Fillongley, Warwickshire, on Friday 11 and Saturday 12 June 2027.
