Do the bigger jobs better, stronger and faster with Volvo’s new 90 tonne weight class EC950E crawler excavator. With over 424 kN of breakout force and 408 kN of tearout force, it offers the perfect combination of power and stability to handle high capacity duties in the toughest applications.

For Volvo’s largest crawler excavator, the EC950E, no task is too tough. The 90 tonne class crawler excavator delivers more tons per hour due to its high bucket capacity, powerful performance and high durability.

With a bucket breakout force of 424 kN and an arm tearout force of 408 kN, the EC950E offers superior digging force, particularly when working with hard and heavy materials. Constant high hydraulic pressure delivers power to the machine when you need it. For increased versatility, the attachment management system enables the use of various attachments, allowing the operator to pre-set hydraulic flow and pressure inside the cab through the monitor.

Efficient power
Powered by a 446 kW (606 hp) Volvo D16 engine, the machine utilizes advanced technology built on decades of experience to ensure a highly productive operation. Cut cycle times to a minimum with the power and massive torque of the Volvo D16 engine combined with the newly developed, fully electro-hydraulic system.

The enhanced hydraulic system increases pump power for a fast, smooth and efficient operation, putting superior control in the operator’s hands. Utilizing intelligent technology, the system controls on-demand flow and reduces internal losses in the hydraulic circuit. Combined with Volvo’s unique ECO Mode, the hydraulic system reduces loss of flow and pressure in order to achieve outstanding fuel efficiency. The integrated work mode allows operators to choose the best work mode for th task at hand, from I (Idle), F(Fine), G (General), H (Heavy) and P (Power max).

Bigger is better with Volvo’s EC950E crawler excavator

Maximizing operator productivity
The EC950E features a wide track gauge, long track length, a retractable undercarriage and an optimized counterweight, resulting in a well-balanced, solid machine. All machine interfaces – including joysticks, keypad and LCD monitor – are ergonomically positioned and designed for optimum control and efficiency. Operators can work with comfort and confidence in the most challenging environments in the comfortable, spacious and low-noise cab of the EC950E. For added safety and durability, a full length track guard can be fitted, and optional FOG (Falling Object Guard) and FOPS (Falling Object Protective Structure) certified cabs provide peace-of-mind.

Durable by design
The heavy-duty design of the EC950E ensures the job is done quickly and without delay. Built with protected components, including a heavy-duty boom and arm, a strong frame structure, and a heavy-duty plate, the machine can be relied on for longevity and sustained uptime in demanding applications. The machine’s high quality Volvo components are designed to work in perfect harmony with the machine.

Volvo’s durable, high quality buckets are perfectly matched to the EC950E for digging in all working conditions. The General Purpose, Heavy-Duty or Extreme-Duty buckets are built with wear-resistant, steel plates, perfect for quarrying and mining applications.

In order to maximize uptime, essential maintenance points are easily accessed via the wide-opening and conveniently located compartment doors using central and surrounding walkways. Volvo also offers a range of services to help to improve uptime and decrease the total cost of ownership including Customer Support Agreements, CareTrack, and an extensive global dealer network.

Job done. With the big and powerful EC950E, no task is too tough. Increase profitability with superior digging force, quick cycle times and outstanding fuel efficiency for a maximum return on investment.
