Topcon Positioning seeks Business Development Manager (Construction)


Calling all Business Development Managers, Topcon want you to join their team! They are looking for a diligent and proactive individual to look after their construction and earthworks customers.

Responsible for actively developing and growing Topcon’s market share by identifying and selling to both strategic customers such as large construction and earthworks contractors as well smaller scale construction or groundworks customers.

Achieving sales targets and growing Topcon’s market share in the relevant sales territory.


  • Accountable for the sales performance of the region and for achieving revenue, profit and agreed KPI targets on a monthly/quarterly/annual basis.
  • Maintains strong customer relations and satisfaction, proactively and diligently working to ensure customer needs are met.
  • Provision of accurate sales forecasts to sales and operations management.
  • Deliver technical sales presentations and product demonstrations at customer business location or via online remote meetings.
  • Develop customer proposals and negotiate terms of sale and service agreements.
  • Create and maintain detailed customer records on the CRM system.
  • Identify and target new business opportunities and prospective customers, attending trade shows and following all sales leads to completion.
  • Represent Topcon at key industry events and seminars.
  • Reporting of market intelligence to TGB and Topcon Europe Position (TEP).
  • Comply with all relevant health and safety legislation.
  • Maintain a good working relationship with other departments, including assisting with the training of new staff.
  • Work within the procedures defined by the Company’s QA systems.
  • Attend internal and external training courses as and when required.
  • Work within the confines of the General Data Protection Regulations; respecting the rights of Data Subjects and ensuring that personal data is processed and described in the Company’s Data Protection Policy.
  • Assist in other areas of the company’s operations (within capabilities) as required.
