‘Times Like These’ Shannonside Invest in Thwaites.

Worcestershire based Civil Engineering contractor Shannonside has added 11x Thwaites dumpers to its fleet via distributor BTE Plant Sales. 

The deal which features 8 x 6-tonne forward tip ROPS+ dumpers and 3 x 3-tonne forward tip machines, will further enhance a fleet, that is in the words of Shannonside MD Brendan Carty is ‘99% Thwaites’. 

Brendan continued…” Our honest belief is that Thwaites dumpers are the best in the business. We bought Thwaites when we started the business in 2014 and continue to buy today. I believe that if you look after and maintain a Thwaites dumper it will last you a lifetime”.

The ROPS+ dumper that forms part of this deal has proven to be popular with contractors and hirers alike. Offering as it does, further protection to the operator with its wrap around steel frame; pull down roll bar and ‘triple lock’ motion inhibiter. The machine will start but not drive until the operator is sat on the seat, the seat belt is fastened and the overhead bar is locked in place. Thwaites have ensured smart mechanisms in the design of the ‘triple lock’ are in place to stop any workarounds.

Brendan went on to say that whilst there is uncertainty in the order pipeline, getting paid remains a key issue for sub-contractors in the sector. Commenting…” In uncertain times I believe that money is well spent with trusted brands such as Thwaites, who sit at the very top of the dumper market”.
