Following rapid investments in its fleet, capabilities, and footprint, the heavy plant hire specialist has recruited Aidan Harrison as operations director at a time when the company is bolstering its fleet, depot network, and service capabilities to meet the company says an increased demand for rental equipment.
As the company scales, Harrison will oversee all operational aspects – from machine hire and servicing to sales support – implementing processes that drive efficiency while maintaining, SER say, the ‘personal touch’.
Welcoming him to the team, Andrew Stevens, managing director of SER, said: “We are delighted to have Aidan on board. As we celebrate 50 years in business, we are looking firmly towards the future and Aidan’s expertise in managing growth is exactly what we need to ensure our service remains best-in-class in this new chapter of our company’s history.”
Commenting on his appointment, Aidan Harrison, said: “SER has spent five decades building a reputation for being flexible and responsive to customer needs. My goal is to ensure that as we grow, we also become more efficient and even more reliable for our customers. We’re building the operational backbone that will support the next 50 years of success.”
Harrison brings a wealth of experience in engineering, continuous improvement, and operations leadership. A certified Six Sigma Black Belt, his career has focused on applying a balance of both data and people-led approaches to enhance operational consistency and service standards during periods of rapid business growth. Most recently, he held a senior operational role within the offshore aerial survey sector.
