With its impressive fleet of over a hundred earth moving vehicles, twenty of which have been supplied by loading and haulage specialist Bell Equipment, the Ovenden Earthmoving Company – a earth moving, crushing and recycling, and sea and coastal defence contractor – has announced its most recent Bell purchases; the addition of a new L2606E Wheeled Loader and two B40D Articulated Dump Trucks.

Originally established in 1973 as an earthworks contractor involved in the construction of the Channel Tunnel, Kent-based Ovenden Earthmoving has continued to grow at a sustainable pace, developing its status as a customer-focused and results driven company.

Its reputation has been attributed in no small part to the power, quality and reliability of the machines it chooses to bring to its hard-working and highly capable fleet, and the efficient, prompt service it provides to customers in dealing with their specific requirements.

“Our clients rely on us to supply them with top of the range equipment that consistently has the capacity and stamina to not just meet, but exceed, expectations,” explains contracts manager, Nigel Hemingway.

“By supplying machines that deliver results, we’ve won repeat business and built upon valuable relationships, whilst playing our part in helping to defend the island’s coastline, and aid construction and recycling projects across the country.

“To continue achieving results, we ensure our machinery is the best available, so when expanding our fleet we choose to select machines we know have the ability to perform. This is why we’ve returned to Bell Equipment to fulfil this recent need for a new wheeled loader and two new ADTS.”

Nigel explains how the new Bell L2606E has been purchased to work as part of Ovenden Earthmoving’s nationwide crushing and recycling operation, and that the ADTs, secured to increase the company’s truck fleet, were chosen for use within both earth moving and sea defence projects.

These hard-working additions to the Ovenden Earthmoving portfolio are the latest in a long line of Bell Equipment purchases that have been used to power the company’s reputation, as well as build client confidence and encourage repeat business.

Over the years, twenty Bell ADTs, both new and pre-owned, have operated within the Ovenden Earthmoving fleet, together with seven Bell Loaders of varying capacities.

“We’ve always had good results with Bell and feel that we’ve been consistently supported by the company from the point of sale, all the way through to machine after care.  Our operators get on well with the vehicles, which they find to be powerful, reliable, and fuel efficient, as well as competitively priced.  We also benefit from the machines’ on-board data systems, and choose to use Fleetm@tic® on our trucks – a programme we find extremely informative.”

“The new machines were delivered a couple of months ago and have already been put to the test, with the L2606E working on a recycling contract in Kent – loading rail ballast into crushers and stockpiling – and the B40Ds are proving their worth hauling beach materials within sea defence projects in East Sussex.”

Bell Equipment’s Sales and Marketing Manager, Richard Higgott, comments:  “We’re delighted that Ovenden Earthmoving has again chosen to invest in machinery manufactured by Bell.  It’s rewarding to see the company’s fleet grow so considerably and have Bell machinery play an integral part of that development.

“We hope Ovenden Earthmoving receives years of results from their three new machines and look forward to working with them well into the future.”
