New Expanded Telehandler Range from Bobcat

With the inclusion of the latest high performance 8 m TL43.80HF and 7 m TL30.70 telehandlers, Bobcat now offers a choice of 13 rigid frame telehandler models for applications in construction, rental, recycling, waste and general industry, covering maximum lifting capacities between 2.6 and 4.3 tonnewith lifting heights from 6 to 18 m.

The new TL43.80HF increases the lift capacity in the Bobcat range to 4.3 tonne, combining this with a maximum lift height of almost 8 m. The TL43.80HF is a compact telehandler offering an impressive package, which brings together high productivity, robustness and rough terrain ability in the same machine. It provides a new solution for heavy lift handling applications found in general industry, manufacturing, building materials, warehousing, quarrying and mining. The TL43.80HF is also ideal for farming work.

The very high stability of the TL43.80HF is due to the box welded frame, the low load centre, the long wheel base and the new massive rear counterweight, allowing Bobcat to minimize the overall dimensions of the machine, resulting in a width of only 2.30 m and a length of less than 5 m from the rear to the fork face. Together with a short turning radius of just 3.71 m, this new Bobcat telehandler is a very manoeuvrable machine, a particularly useful feature when it comes to working in confined environments.

For John Suggitt, who runs construction, storage and farm businesses in Driffield in East Yorkshire in the UK, his new TL43.80HF telehandler supplied by local Bobcat dealer, AMS Bobcat Ltd, is the perfect machine: “Our new TL43.80HF has been a fantastic investment, combining excellent lifting capability with superb compactness. I was looking for a telehandler that could lift 4 tonne and offer a reach of 7 m, but with the TL43.80HF, I can lift a massive 4.3 tonne with a lifting height of 8 m. Being 20 cm shorter than the equivalent 7 m machines, the TL43.80HF gives me the compactness and productivity I need to work in the tight spaces on site and in my storage facilities.”

Another Compact Solution

The TL30.70provides a maximum lift capacity of 3 tonne and a maximum lift height of nearly 7 m, for a wide range of applications in construction/rental/recycling/waste/general industry. The compact width of 2.1 m in the TL30.70 ensures it provides a cost effective format in the 7 m class. The compactness and stability of the TL30.70 makes this machine a perfect tool for easy pick and go or for lifting materials to height on housing and commercial property developments.

The TL30.70 offers an excellent compact and cost-effective alternative to larger 7 m models, especially where working spaces are tight and increased manoeuvrability is required. In addition, performance is not compromised as the TL30.70 offers an outstanding maximum reach of 4 m with a load of more than 1 tonne.  At the maximum lift height, users can lift up to 2 tonne of weight, which is sufficient to place a pallet of heavy bricks in most conditions.

“At Bobcat, for over 60 years, we have been constantly innovating the market – always developing new machines for customers’ needs. The new TL43.80HF and TL30.70 continue this legacy as they complete our range of telehandlers and ensure customers can benefit from unmatched loading productivity and lift capacity. Bobcat machines are made for tough jobs, whilst still providing all the agility and versatility any application would require,” said Olivier Traccucci, Bobcat Telehandler Senior Product Manager.

All Bobcat telehandlers are covered by a three year/3000 hour warranty as standard, with the option of extending the warranty to five years/5000 hours. The entire Bobcat range of telehandlers are designed and produced at the company’s plant in Pontchâteau in France.

They are designated using a naming system showing lifting capacity/lifting height performance at a glance:

The TL26.60, TL30.60 and TL30.70 compact telescopic loaders

The TL35.70, TL43.80, T35.105, T35.105L and T36.120SL middle lift telehandlers

The T35.130S and T35.140S rental industry-oriented telehandlers

The T35.130SLP, T41.140SLP and T40.180SLP high lift telehandlers

The Bobcat D34 Engine

The Bobcat D34 enginehas been developed and manufactured internally specifically for use in the company’s new generation Stage IV rigid frame telehandlers for highly regulated markets in EMEA. This has resulted in optimised performance throughout the range. The compactness of the D34 engine, combined with a styled low profile engine hood improves visibility on the engine side, which is important for material handling applications. The D34 engine is available in three different sizes– 75, 100 and 130 HP.

These engines share the same electronic fuel injection, High Pressure Common Rail technology, turbo-charged air management and Cooled Exhaust Gas Recirculation for lower emissions and do not require the use of Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) technology.

Bobcat telehandlers incorporate several standard features such as an automatic parking brakewith an intuitive operation similar to those used in the automotive industry, providing greater safety and control.

The ECO fuel saving systemis actuated simply by pressing a button on the dashboard and maintains optimum hydraulic performance without using the engine’s full power, adjusting the main machine features to produce a balance between top performance and providing the best performance/fuel consumption ratio. Construction companies and rental customers will appreciate this feature for the additional fuel savings it provides, combined with the excellent lifting capacities on Bobcat telehandlers.

As well as the automatic parking brake and the ECO mode, the advanced features include an optional air dual suspension seat, an optional auto fan inversion, a rotating beacon/back-up alarm as standard and cushion retract on the five TL models. The optional fan system with automatic inversion is electronically controlled to adjust rotation speed depending on the temperature, which results in energy savings.

Onthe TL26.60, TL30.60and TL30.70, these are available with two different overall machine heights with a cab which can be mounted in two different ways – in a low position that results in the very low 2.1 m height or a higher position to optimise visibility.
