Owner of the TRU7 Group, Guy Nicholls has a long and illustrious reputation in the plant hire industry and two years after selling his telehandler business, he’s back in the plant hire market. The TRU 7 Group has a 100 strong workforce with skills in value engineering, operations management, highways and contracting. They have a fast-growing portfolio, which now offers plant hire, demolition and aggregates, as well as vehicle hire and sales.

Renowned for being experts in construction and demolition, the TRU 7 Group have recently launched a new sector in their business, TRU PLANT. This is the latest move in the growth story that has seen TRU7 strengthening its offering in the construction world. With a complete range of quality plant equipment, from excavators and dumpers to telehandlers and ancillary equipment, they offer plant hire machinery on a self-drive or operator basis and available for hire nationally.

In support of TRU PLANT’s rapid expansion, demand for Miller UK’s PowerLatch couplers has continued to soar after the company have joined forces with plant hire company. The investment began earlier this year when TRU PLANT invested in more than 200 new Volvo machines ranging from 3t to 48t. Their desire to use the best products in the industry led them to the recent order with Miller for all of their heavy excavators to be kitted out with bespoke colour coded British made buckets and PowerLatch couplers from Miller. The colour coded PowerLatch couplers and bucket heads were a specification during the initial order with Miller in order to help operators to identify weights machines per weight thus offering safety, convenience and timesaving onsite. Bespoke part numbers were created specifically for TRU PLANT to meet their needs and offer an exceptional level of service throughout.

Known for purchasing only the best equipment for their customers, Operations Manager at TRU7, Jake Nicholls talks about the launch of TRUPLANT and its partnership with Miller, “We decided to re-enter the plant hire world as we saw a massive opportunity for the TRU 7 Group.
