Hyundai returns to the Hillhead Quarry with a growing range of Next Generation crawler excavators, including a completely new model designed specifically to meet the needs of the UK plant hirers that will be unveiled on day one.

All Next Generation machines benefit the company says from a new premium cab design, with comfortable seating, improved ventilation, redesigned control levers and enhanced interior lighting.

The excavator is equipped with Hyundai’s latest 12.8” full HD touchscreen monitor, providing personalised control of machine functions and easy to read operating data. The advanced climate control system incorporates a Discharge Air Temperature (DAT) sensor and dual solar sensors to optimise internal temperatures in the cab.

All of Hyundai’s UK and Ireland dealers will be represented on the stand and the company looks forward to welcoming new and existing customers at the event.

Hyundai initially launched the 36-tonne HX360 and the 40-tonne HX400, Next Generation machines boasting full electro-hydraulic (FEH) controls and Hyundai’s DX08 diesel engine. These two models were joined by the HX300, the HX260 and the HX 230 earlier this year, the latter two powered by the four-cylinder, twin-turbocharged DX05 diesel engine.

A four-corner beacon system ensures that the machine is visible from all directions and a white noise buzzer provides an audible warning to other site workers. The machine is equipped with a Comfort Package and is upgrade-ready to accept a range of Next Generation smart features, through an Intelligent Pack. This includes Lift Assist, Grade Assist, Auto Stop. Automatic Weighing System and E-Boundary. The machines also come with Hyundai’s Smart Around View Monitoring (SAVM) system as standard, employing six cameras mounted around the machine to deliver 360 visibility to the operator for maximum safety on site.

The larger Next Generation models will be on show in the UK for the first time, including both the HX300 and the HX360, while Hyundai’s ADT, wheel loader, wheeled excavator and dozer lines will be represented on the stand. Last, but by no means least, customers will have the chance to see the new HX10A Z micro excavator for the first time at a UK event.

Hyundai equipment will of course take part in the quarry face demonstrations throughout the three days of the show, with Next Generation excavators, wheel loaders and the latest two-axle HA45A 4×4 articulated dump truck working in the rock.
