Selston, Nottinghamshire-based Delden Cranes Ltd has taken delivery of its latest Kobelco CKE900G-2 crawler crane at Vertikal Days earlier this month.

The 100-tonne capacity CKE900G-2 crawler crane is the final one of four to be delivered to the company after it ordered them at last year’s show, a further two 250-tonne capacity CKE2500G-2s were ordered in August 2017.

The first two CKE900G-2s were delivered in October 2017, with the remaining two, including the model on display at this year’s show, arriving at the end of April. The two CKE2500G-2s were also delivered last month, bringing the total number of Kobelco crawler cranes operated by Delden to 11.

Speaking at the show, Sean Nyland, Director, Delden Cranes, said: “The 100-tonne capacity CKE900G-2 is an excellent addition to our crawler crane fleet of 40 machines, which will help us to expand our already considerable UK operations, including a larger share of the all-important London market. We’ve been impressed by Kobelco’s engineering quality, the lifting duty performance of both the CKE900G-2 and the CKE2500G-2, the addition of the KCross system, and the excellent after sales back up we get from Mark Evans and his team in the UK. The addition of Kobelco’s new Stage IV/Tier 4 Final engine on both the CKE900G-2 and the CKE2500G-2, also means we are well placed to win work on some of the UK’s largest infrastructure projects, including HS2.”
