Chippindale expands Attachment Division hire fleet

Chippindale invests in 49 Epiroc Solid Body (SB) breakers as part of its ongoing expansion of their Attachments Division.

Plant hire specialists Chippindale Plant Limited have completed the purchase of nearly 50 Epiroc hydraulic breakers as part of their ongoing investment programme to support the continued growth of their Attachments Division hire fleet. The Leeds-based firm has taken delivery of the market leading hydraulic breakers for use by their customers across the north of England, through their nine strategically placed depots.

Chippindale Plant was first established in 1949 by Wilfred Chippindale and has been a family owned business right up to the present day. The company established a specialist Attachments Division five years ago to meet the growing demand for breakers, grabs, compactors and multi processors for 1t – 40t machines. Last year Chippindale appointed Stevie Mosson to spearhead the continued expansion of the Attachments Division by focusing on customer requirements and to develop the market.

Nigel Chippindale, Managing Director, commented: ‘Epiroc’s Solid Body breakers are the perfect tool for our hire fleet, as well as being popular with our customers for a wide range of applications, we never have any problems with them – as a hirer we can almost fit and forget them!

‘We have run SB breakers in our hire fleet for the last 25 years, seeing their continued development, including the move from Atlas Copco to Epiroc. The combination of Epiroc’s reliable products and our investment in staff, means we can provide an unrivalled level of knowledge and support to our customers’ businesses and supply the best equipment to get the job done when it’s needed.’

Chippindale Plant’s Excavator Attachment division is backed up by a team of experts who have years of industry knowledge; specifically across demolition, utility, groundwork, remediation and civil engineering. They now operate a market leading fleet of over 400 excavator attachments; to browse the full range or to hire today, visit their attachment page at
