Touchstone Civil Engineering has taken another major step forward in its rapid growth with the expansion of its Hitachi machinery fleet supplied by Hitachi Construction Machinery UK.
Founded in 2024 by Managing Director Tobi Williams, Touchstone has quickly established itself as a modern, ambitious force within the civil engineering and groundworks sector. With more than 30 years of combined industry experience, the team has earned a reputation for delivering high – quality, innovative solutions across a wide range of projects.
The company’s latest investment adds 16 new Hitachi units to its fleet – eight ZX130LC-7Bs and eight ZX210LC-7s, bringing its total number of Hitachi machines to 30.
Many of the new machines come equipped with Leica machine control base kit technology, enhancing precision and efficiency across Touchstone’s operations. The company also uses Leica cab kits through Hitachi’s Connected Technology rental programme.
Financing for the fleet expansion has been supported through ZAXIS Finance with the investment further highlighting Touchstone’s focus on building a high-performance fleet capable of supporting its continued growth.
For Hitachi here in the UK, the expansion demonstrates a growing partnership and commitment to supporting contractors and hirers with product, technology, and finance solutions.
