Tobin Plant Services is proud to be a sponsor of this years UK Operator of the Year campaign.
They are LiuGong dealer for Eastern England. The company is headed up by Simon Tobin who until recently had been the LiuGong eastern sales manager and has 47 years in the plant industry.
Simon joined the Royal Engineers, British Army at 16 years old, attended the Royal School of Military Engineering and was qualified as a combat engineer/heavy plant operator/mechanic, before working in South Africa as a foreman on a diamond mine.
He went on to work for a number of plant manufactures, was a commercial manager for two of the largest plant hire companies in the east and has managed a number of sea defence projects including running the logistics on the Southwold Pier prpject.
Simon stated that this general experience has helped him understand his customer needs, such as providing an excellent back up/spare parts operation of which LiuGong/ Tobin Plant Services provides.
Tobin Plant Service has just opened a new depot to service the eastern region, supplying the LiuGong product range of excavators and loading shovels which is now accepted as mainstay equipment for many blue chip companies in the UK. This is really an exciting time to be with a fast evolving brand.
