Ridgway Rentals is a family run plant hire and haulage company based in Shropshire who offer their services nationwide. They are recognised for their wide range of modern equipment which includes excavators ranging from 1 ton – 50 tons, bulldozers and dump trucks.
The company also prides itself for supplying the machines their customers want, no matter how specific their individual requirements may be. With support from Marubeni-Komatsu Ltd., Ridgway currently run a wide range of specialist Komatsu equipment that satisfies the bespoke needs of a number of industry sectors in which their customers operate.
A great example of this niche machinery is their three Komatsu PC210LCD-11 crawler excavators with elevating cabs that were delivered in May 2018. These three machines were ordered to satisfy a long-term contract with a wood recycling company to load wood waste into shredding machines.
The hydraulically elevating cabs dramatically improve the operator’s vision on waste and recycling sites and ensure more efficient material handling. The conversion from standard machine to high rise cab was carried out in partnership with Kocurek. Due to the very dusty environment the machines will be operating in further customisation was carried out in order to keep them working. It’s new reversing fan, combined with a wide core radiator, will maximise the machine uptime. So far, this extra customisation is working extremely well in these very rigorous conditions.
