Metso Outotec and its distribution partner McHales Plant Sales Ltd have signed a contract to expand their aggregates distribution coverage to Great Britain (England, Scotland and Wales).

Starting in January 2023, Metso Outotec’s mobile equipment, spare and wear parts coupled with McHales Plant Sales Ltd’s technical expertise and local presence will ensure that the company’s aggregates customers in Great Britain receive the service levels they have come to expect from Metso Outotec.

The two companies have successfully partnered in Ireland since 2015. The decision to expand the long-lasting partnership to England, Scotland and Wales was driven by shared ambition to reach and serve customers more broadly in the region.

“This expansion of our distribution partnership with McHales enables us to not only service the already significant installed base of existing customers, but also reach out to new customers,” says Juha Yli-Petäys, senior vice president, Global Distribution Management at Metso Outotec.

“With the agreement, we provide equipment, parts and services for customers with the desired support level. Our portfolio covers the needs of different types of customers and applications and meets the local requirements and standards. We are happy to be able to utilise the opportunities in the region in collaboration with McHales. To ensure the best experience and technical support for our customers, a transition period between Garriock and McHales will continue until the end of March for aftermarket support. We would also like to take the opportunity to thank Garriock for their contribution during our fruitful partnership,” he concludes.

“Since our appointment by Metso Outotec as distributors with responsibility for the Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland markets, we have seen how customer interest in Metso Outotec’s offering has increased significantly. We look forward to building on our partnership with by bringing our knowledge and experience to the English, Scottish and Welsh markets,” says Tim Shanahan, managing director of McHale Plant Sales.

McHale says it will structure its operations to provide the levels of customer support, sales, marketing and on-the-ground back-up to meet the expectations of the quarry owners and aggregate producers.
