High Reach Demolition in Action
High Reach Demolition Excavators in Action in Scotland
We recently supplied two of our High Reach Demolition Excavators to George Beattie & Sons in Scotland.
Their task – to demolish the Bothwell Park Road Bridge on the M74
The Komatsu PC450HRD with 28m reach and PC490HRD with 30m reach were both supplied to the Scottish demolition company without Ridgway names on – as per company policy – to allow Beattie to show their own decals whilst carrying out the work over the weekend.
Transported to site – No on-site assembly required!
Both High Reach Demolition Machines were delivered direct to the site in Scotland in the configuration specified by Beattie all ready to start work with no on-site assembly required!
The M74 was closed between junctions 4 and 5 to allow the demolition to take place over the weekend and scheduled to open from 6am, Monday – in time for the morning rush hour!
Reliable plant machinery that allows maximum operational hours is key to companies carrying out demolition and construction work on a tight schedule. Our Komatsu demolition excavators offer the latest technology combined with complete operator safety and as they have been factory built by Komatsu as High Reach Demolition (HRD) from new which gives them CE Certification.
Both machines were supplied self drive to Beattie – click here for more information about George Beattie & Sons
This demolition is part of a £500 million overhaul of the M8, M73 and M74 motorways aimed to reduce motorway congestion across the Central Belt between Edinburgh and Glasgow.
