Shawn Powell started his landscaping and building firm in 2004. In the years since he’s grown his business to a medium-sized firm, with workload split across all aspects of building and landscaping. Shawn himself operates a 9 tonne Volvo ECR88D with Triple Articulating Boom, bought in October 2018 – a high spec machine. This is Shawn’s first brand new excavator, and an investment close to his heart.
When it came to adding to his kit, Shawn had his mind set on Engcon. Although Volvo put together a good package for him, Shawn was impressed by information available online – after watching YouTube testimonials from Engcon users, following forums, reading reviews and talking to other users, Shawn concluded that Engcon was the best option. It also helped that the Engcon office is close by.
“Engcon fitted my Volvo with a tiltrotator, QS45 hitch with EC-Oil as standard, and full DC2 controls with Mig2 Joysticks incorporating roller operated tracking. I also chose to get a full set of buckets, some pallet forks and a SK10 sorting grab, I couldn’t have been happier,” Shawn explained.
