The Plantworx operational team announced today a generous donation of essential household items to Care Zone in Peterborough, in a show of commitment to social responsibility and community solidarity.

The donation comprised a comprehensive set of bedroom supplies used by the team during the course of their on-site work. The donation included 14 single mattresses, 14 pillows, 14 single mattress sets, 14 mattress covers, and 14 duvets, all of which were used during the three-week build-up and breakdown phase at Plantworx, which took place last week (13th – 15th June) at the East of England Arena.

Stuart Favill, the Operations Manager at Plantworx, played a significant role in arranging this donation. Care Zone, a well-established organization in Peterborough, gratefully accepted these contributions. Care Zone operates a warehouse of donated good-quality furniture, clothing, toys, and household items and redistributes them, free of charge, to those in need in the local community.

Speaking about the initiative, Stuart Favill said, “At Plantworx, we believe in a holistic approach to our operations, which extends beyond our primary work, to include the wellbeing of the communities. This donation serves as a testament to our commitment to those less fortunate within our local community. It’s our way of giving back and expressing our gratitude to the people of Peterborough, who have always been supportive of us, while we have been onsite”

The donation has come at a critical time, as many in the Peterborough area are facing economic hardships. Through this initiative, the Plantworx team is not only expressing its commitment to sustainable practices but also demonstrating the value it places on community engagement.
