Launched in 2009 Hyundai’s Dash 9 series of excavators and wheel loaders has experienced a steady and progressive expansion into the Australian market. The latest addition to Hyundai’s Dash 9 family is the launch of its 80t crawler excavator model, the R800-9. Successor to its Dash 7A cousin the R800-7A, the R800-9 has been unveiled and is now available to the Australian market with initial stocks hitting our shores back in late December 2012.
The R800-9 has undergone a transformation in comparison to its Dash 7A cousin which includes a number of structural, technological, cabin and safety upgrades. One such upgrade includes a newly patented hydraulic control system which delivers greater slew speed and increased hydraulic power. Greater optimisation of the hydraulic system allows operators of the R800-9 to configure custom boom and swing priority settings through an easy to use in cab 7” digital display control cluster.
A technology exclusive to the Hyundai’s Dash 9 series, the 7” digital display control cluster acts as the machines nerve centre and provides a plethora of settings to customise the performance of the R800-9 to best suit the operating environment and job requirements.
Diagnostics, safety system control, service tracking and machine reports can all be accessed and controlled through this interface. Including Hyundai’s remote monitoring and reporting platform ‘Hi-mate’, the R800-9 boasts an impressive full-bodied standard specification with no hidden add-on’s or extra’s.
